Puppy Happiness Protocol

The ideal time to begin shaping a puppy's personality is between 6 and 8 weeks old.  At this age, the brain is the most open to gentle shaping. Then it changes every day, losing plasticity. By 6 months, dog adolescent brains "think they know it all" and become more challenging to educate.

The essence of this program is an education program for you! It includes a plan, customized to this pup and designated human. You are your puppy’s tutor! Learn how to communicate effectively with the canine species and discover which sports or dog jobs might be a good fit for your dog. The earlier you start, the better.

This pricing includes one month of access to the PetTelligence software ($9 per month) and one month of teleconsultation with a puppy trainer ($150 per month).  Your trainer will schedule live video meetings to fit your schedule.  After the first month, you can work through the custom plan's online checklist program independently, but most agree that coaching is the best value.

Each component of the plan is either a short one-paragraph instruction, a PDF topic (1-3 pages), a video (most under 5 minutes), or an online slideshow.  The program is intended for the first few months after puppy adoption.  If started the first day after adoption, there is minimal soiling and chewing of unacceptable items.

Anyone can raise a puppy, but some puppies are special, and if raised with the newest strategies, can become a "super cool adult dog" that everyone wants to be around.  This is how you can avoid common issues, including fear, aggression, phobias, urine marking, and destruction.
